Cruising through Boston

Just south of boston we stopped for a few hours to visit uncle john Martha's fathers brother he was a pilot in world war too I think flu the little yellow plane in the picture john and mary were very welcoming wonderful for martha.
We parked on the outskirts of boston and took the city bus into the historic hay market square and chinatown areas

Brattleboro vermont sunday dance

Another huge contra dance for me was the brattleboro vermont contra dance that ethan from elixer used to organize and had invited us to attend several years before. I also was able to attend a rather sleepy fiddle jam prior to the dance lots of fun as well . Another highlight happened while I was playing fiddle in the brattleboro city park and a young family came along and to toddlers stood in front of me and started to break dance it was such a fun moment. The little boy came up and set aside me and when I stop playing he looked and me and said nice talent

Washington DC

We left Galax and drove straight to Washington DC these pics are from our morning bike ride Glen Echo into the DC mall all we did was ride our bikes around then look at things from a distance beautiful grounds great statues the White House picture is memorable since right after we left taking this picture we crossed a big lawn and as we tried to get back on the blacktop pathway Marthas tire got stuck and she fell on to the black tom on her side breaking her glasses and hurting her ribs.  that lasted for several weeks but all is good now

Baltimore sad Baltimore

As we left Mount Airy I started to hear a noise when I apply the brakes in Baltimore we pulled over and realized we had a problem metal to metal so we found a spot that would work on our vehicle and did our best 2 be proactive as they fixed our vehicle. But alas they charged us nine hundred and fifty dollars for a $500 job and we just had to pay it ....sad but true.  of course I have a plan now is to not get screwed next time but good luck with that one
