Elkins solo bikeride

I took a morning bike ride out on the rail to trail to the town of Parsons. The horses in the barn are part of the pretty scenery the money picture is what I scrounged out of my bicycle bag since I forgot my wallet I didn't prepare for the ride so I hadn't eaten and it was about 22 miles one way so I needed a snack in Parsons and barely scrounged enough change the locomotive picture is of the train they bring into town each Saturday that train takes tours around the area the fish Raceway is a fish hatchery 15 miles from town raising trout even golden trout the water is disgusting  however.

Galax and Fries (freeze)

The drive from Blacksburg to Galax is a nice drive thru the mountain country but you better pay attention and stay on normal roads or you will be on a gravel road high in the mountains of who knows where we went straight to fries from Galax which is just down the hill to the New River in order to take part in the Thursday night jam session lots of great musicians have come from this area and the jam session has gone on for probably 50 years cool old cars had come to town for a galax event but they look great in front of the old buildings. We will show industrial. pictures later of this little town on the New River where big factories had a hundred of 10 year old kids working in the mills

Blue Ridge Parkway Music Center
