Beach ride Saturday morning SPI
I took a little ride up the beach about 10 miles So it was a nice 20 mile round trip. Easy going north with a tail wind Tougher coming south with high tide in a headwind. You're either riding on really wet solid sand and shells Or your instantly in soft sand And in my case clipped in and laying on my side.
On average of about 10 cars per hour. Half just enjoying the beach the other half fishing. You can see the fish 1 fellow caught in the white bucket picture.
Birding almost in city limit of SPI
The birding here is so great. Nice boardwalks out through the marsh And the birds are so used to being watched. All I am showing is the close in stuff. We see 10 * this much through our binoculars. many species we have seen in Idaho. Many we've only seen in books and magazines.

South Padre Island
We are parked at the end of the road on South Padre Island. 5 minute walk across the dunes to the ocean. A little more difficult to get to the sound. No wind the last few days but possibly by Thursday. Some nice folks from Toronto gave us this heads up on where to park. Were a little worried about a strange man walking around out here with a small pony tail of black hair and a long black wool trench coat. Just seems to be walking aimlessly around. No other campers yet. We will see
